Race 1 – KFC CLASS 2 HANDICAP - 1000 metres:  Shortly after straightening and until approaching the 200 metres Coradorian was disappointed for a run between Sugar Foot Stomp and Gobsmacked Coradorian then had to shift out abruptly to obtain a clear run.

Race 2 – CARLTON DRAUGHT MAIDEN PLATE - 1000 metres:   Acting on a report from the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon, who reported that Rogue Essence had sustained an injury to it’s off-hind leg on route to the course and was unfit to start, Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Rogue Essence at 12.39 pm. 

Near the 300 metres Kiss The Ground, when making ground, shifted out to obtain a clear run.  R.Aitken, rider of Forest Spider, explained to the Stewareds that after beginning well he then rode his mount forward and near the 950 metres he lost his near side iron, resulting in his saddle shifting to the off-side.  Due to these occurrences, R. Aitken eased the gelding down near the 600 metres.

 Near the 200 metres Lily Jingles had to be eased when racing tight on the inside of Lovin’ Arms, which shifted in slightly.

Race 3 – SUPER VOBIS 3YO MAIDEN PLATE - 1200 metres:   D. Weir, trainer of Ripperdane, was fined $50.00 for late notification of his rider, B. Melham.

Valenshikov jumped away awkwardly, shifted out and hampered Kalinee (NZ) and Jesters Rule (NZ).

Near the 600 metres Eversafe when being eased to avoid the heels of Imperative, shifted out and hampered Itsechuca.

Rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight Ripperdane, which was laying in, was disappointed for a run between Run Barry Run and Field Hunter.  Ripperdane continued to lay in down the straight.

After passing the 400 metres and until the 200 metres, Millie The Tilda raced greenly and laid in under pressure.  Near the 200 metres Millie The Tilda shifted out to obtain clear running and hampered Itsechuca.

Approaching the 50 metres Valenshikov, which was making ground, had to be checked when tightened for room by Grey Jugah (M. Pumpa), which shifted in.  M. Pumpa was severely reprimanded for permitting his mount to shift in. 

Race 4 – HOLIDAY INN MELBOURNE AIRPORT CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 1600 metres:   On jumping away Cielo Laha and Coginita were tightened for room between Allo Harry and Luna Di Oro (NZ) which shifted out.

Near the 1400 metres Cielo Laha got its head up when being eased to avoid the heels of Coginita.

In the straight Luna Di Oro (NZ) had a tendency to lay in.

Race 5 – DR LEWINN’S PRIVATE FORMULA OPEN HANDICAP - 1300 metres:   Near the 200 metres Lord Carramar was disappointed for a run between St. Arnaud Banana and El Kapaldo, then had to shift out to obtain a clear run on the outside of El Kapaldo.

Race 6 – WOLF BLASS CLASS 4 HANDICAP - 1600 metres:   Passing the 1400 metres Jolly Miller, which was over racing, had to be eased to avoid the heels of Space Bubble. Shortly after this Soviet Step, which was also over racing  had to be eased to avoid the heels of Campitello, then shifted out and brushed Battle Tactic.

Near the 300 metres Jolly Miller had to be checked when attempting a run on the inside of Cadaques where there was insufficient room.  Over the final 100 metres Jolly Miller was again held up when disappointed for a run.

Race 7 – BUNDABERG RUM CLASS 2 HANDICAP - 1300 metres:   Indy River was slow to begin.

In the early and middle stages of the race Toxic Free Mallee over raced. Near the 900 metres Toxic Free Mallee which continued to over race had to be checked to avoid the heels of Ice “N” Easy when racing tight on the inside of Football. 

Near the 200 metres Lacryma Fierezza was disappointed for a run between Ask A Lady and Greek Salad.

Near the 100 metres Toxic Free Mallee had to be eased when tightened for room between My Ensign and Indy River which shifted in under pressure.  Indy River continued to shift in for the remainder of the race.

Approaching the winning post Football had to be eased when tightened for room between Indy River, which shifted in, and Chorus, which shifted out slightly.

Race 8 – SWAN HILL WOMEN IN RACING GIRLS DAY OUT MAIDEN PLATE - 1600 metres:   Umadoll was slow to begin and Dorrie jumped away awkwardly.

Approaching the 1400 metres On The Rug, which was over racing, had to be checked to avoid the heels of Fortunate One (L. Beer), which shifted in.  L. Beer was severely reprimanded for permitting his mount to shift in and notified to exercise far more care when shifting ground in future.

Shortly after this Umadoll, which was over racing, had to be eased to avoid the heels of Trusty Assistant. Rounding the home turn Umadoll was held up when unable to obtain a clear run.

After passing the 400 metres Trusty Assistant shifted out to obtain a run on the outside of Fortunate One and brushed the hind quarters of Beltana, resulting in that gelding being turned inwards.  Trusty Assistant then had to shift out to obtain a clear run.

In the early part of the straight Embedded Pleasure was held up when unable to obtain a clear run.

Near the 200 metres Umadoll was disappointed for a run between Mukaram and Jugah Man.
