The AJC today received 3 late entries for the $600,000 Epsom Handicap and 1 late entry for the $600,000 Metropolitan. Gai Waterhouse has nominated the promising Chess Record, a winner of 4 of his only 7 starts, for the Epsom whilst Our Highlander, winner of the recent NSW Winter Challenge, was nominated by the stable for The Metropolitan.

Other late entries for the Epsom are NSW country gallopers But I’m Serious (Bob Haire) and Magic Pins (Kath Stewart)

Both races will be run at Royal Randwick on Super Saturday, 1 October and weights for the events will be released Monday 12 September.
