Champion mare Sunline has given birth to her third foal at Arrowfield Stud.

The multiple Group One winner foaled a bay filly by Coolmore Stud stallion Rock Of Gibraltar on Monday morning in what was a straightforward birth.

Arrowfield spokesperson Mary O'Neill said mother and daughter were doing well and confirmed the filly looked more like her sire than her dam.

"She's probably thrown more to her father, she's a very nice filly," O'Neill said.

Sunline's first foal, now a two-year-old, is also a filly by Rock Of Gibraltar.

Yet to be named, she is in training in New Zealand with Steve McKee, son of Sunline's trainer Trevor, and is expected to make her debut in the coming months.

Sunline's second foal, a Zabeel colt, will be the headline lot at the 2007 New Zealand Bloodstock Yearling sale at Karaka in January.

Sunline and her foal will remain at Arrowfield Stud, near Scone in the NSW Hunter Valley, until early in the New Year.

She is expected to be served by sire sensation Redoute's Choice in the coming weeks.
