Arlington and Keiki will be looking to cash in on the small Canonbury Stakes field at Randwick on Saturday and cement their spots in the lucrative Magic Millions Classic.
The Graeme Rogerson-trained Arlington who cost $1.55 million as a yearling finished second to Vecchia Roma on debut at Rosehill on October 28.
The Red Ransom colt currently sits on equal 26th with $12,000 prizemoney in the order of entry for the Magic Millions Two-Year-Old Classic at the Gold Coast on January 16.
The field limit for the big race is 16 plus five emergencies.
The Gai Waterhouse-trained filly Keiki is in equal 16th with $20,000.
This year's $70,000 Canonbury Stakes (1100m) features a five horse field with three Magic Millions runners.
Illuminates from the Graeme Rogerson stable is coming off a victory in the Magic Millions Wyong Slipper (1000m) on December 10.
David McNamara from TAB Sportsbet said there had not been any significant betting at this point.
"Punters are holding back on this race at the moment," McNamara said.
Arlington has stayed solid on TAB fixed odds at his opening price of $3.20 while the Anthony Cummings-trained Danehill Smile remains the $2 favourite for the Canonbury.
Illuminates has drifted from $4.20 out to $4.40, with Wyong Slipper runner-up Keiki at $7.00.
"There's a query over that Wyong form and both runners remain untouched," McNamara said.
The David Hayes-trained Miss Hijinx is the $21 outsider in the field.
McNamara said there had been some interest in Arlington for the Magic Millions with the colt firming from $35 to $17.
"The Magic Millions betting really hots up over the next couple weeks," McNamara said.
The Lee Freedman-trained Royal Asscher is currently one of three $6.50 equal favourites for the Magic Millions alongside Zizou and Husson Lightning.
Royal Asscher won an 806m trial at Warwick Farm on Friday, beating Wafer by 4-1/2 lengths in 48.7s.
