The race is harness racing's equivalent of the Melbourne Cup with horses competing on three heats over 8 days then the best performers on points line up in the final a week later. Blacks A Fake has now won 29 of his 39 starts and is heading for a spell to prepare for next season and to try and equal Our Sir Vancelot's feat of winning the event on three consecutive occasions (97-98-99).
