Group One plans for blue blooded filly Juste Momente remained on track following her strong win in the $76,000 TCL Electronics 1400 Handicap (1400m) at Sandown today.

Prepared from Flemington by Danny O'Brien, Juste Momente was left in front early in the race, but found plenty when asked and momentarily challenged by Goldfield Ashes in the home straight.

The win was just what O'Brien wanted to see as he plans to send the daughter of Giant's Causeway west to run in the Group One Australasian Oaks next month.

"The Australasian Oaks is the plan," O'Brien confirmed.

"She'll probably stay here (in Melbourne) and run in a race at Moonee Valley in a couple of weeks."

"She's always had plenty of ability, but she didn't really come up last spring," O'Brien added.

"She's got a great (pedigree) page and a Group One win would be ideal," he summed up.

At the line Juste Momente ($2.30-$3 fav) held a one and a quarter length break over Collodi ($5-$5.50-$4.80).

Goldfield Ashes ($3.90-$4) was another half length back in third place.

McFly ($3.30-$4.60) was another one and three quarter lengths from the placegetters in fourth place, just ahead of the outsider of the field Kinka Rhode ($15).

The Group One $250,000 Schweppes (Australasian) Oaks (2000m) will be run at Morphettville on April 21 on a card that also includes the running of the $300,000 Group One Robert Sangster Stakes.

Juste Momente has one hell of a pedigree. If she happens to win the Australasian Oaks her value would rocket into the seven figure bracket.

As well as being by one of the world's leading young sires, in Storm Cat's son Giant's Causeway, she is a member of a famous female family.

Her dam Skates, a Melbourne winner at two and triple stakes placegetter, is a stakes performed daughter of the grand producing Group One winner Skating.

Skating is the dam of six stakes performers from eight runners including the stakes winners Murtajill, Sunset Run and Bradbury's Luck.

Murtajill, one of the other current stars of the family, is the present favourite for the Group One Golden Slipper Stakes following his win in last Saturday's Skyline Stakes at Randwick.

Among the filly's owners is the Widden Stud Syndicate, managed by Widden boss Antony Thompson. He must be looking forward to the opportunity to be a Group One winners in five weeks time.
