A three-year-old by Centre Stalls from the Kenny's Best Pal mare Tracerline, Bella Leah was not very far from the lead for the entire journey and beat Cullenary Delight $3.30 for apprentice Jarrod Fry and his master Darren Weir. A farther half neck away third was the $2.30 favourite Viabella for Phillip Stokes and Matthew Neilson. A neck victory after not surrendering the lead in the 1250 metre second event saw Big Production, the $2.10 favourite, grace the winner's stall for mentor David Jolly and rider Adrian Patterson. Sired by the United States bred High Yield out of Singing Angel, a Rahy mare, David had a training quinella when Sun Dog $15 finished second with Jason Lyon in the saddle. Kooda Surprise $61 was three quarters of a length away third for apprentice Amy Herrmann and John Dunn. The all the way nose win of the Gordon Richards mentored Tradesman's Choice $7.50 gave jockey Dominic Tourneur the first leg of his double in the third race which was run over 2250 metres. Sired by the American bred stallion Fraar out of the Dr Grace mare Trente Love, Trademan's Choice beat Perillo $6 for mentor Roslyn Day and rider Adrian Patterson. A farther two lengths away third was the $2 punter's elect Testasaurus for Leon Macdonald and Simon Price. The head victory of the David Hayes cared for Hidden Wonder, the $3.20 favourite in the 1800 metre fourth race, gave rider Jason Lyon the second leg of his double. A daughter of Danzero from the Last Tycoon mare Princess Shoma Hidden Wonder was in the leading group throughout the event and beat the Darryl Dodson trained Dominic Tourneur ridden Dancer's Tale $7. A farther two and three quarter lengths away, filling the minor placing, was Vicello $8 for Dan O'Sullivan and Matthew Neilson. Dynamic Hero, the $2-80 favourite, made it two wins in succession when he was the half-length winner of the 1450 metre fifth race. Racing three wide in the middle stages of the event the Daniel Clarken trained Ben Claridge ridden Dynamic Hero is by Bellotto from a Nijinsky's Way mare Dynamic Lady. Dynamic Hero beat the $6 chance Dashagh for trainer Richard Jolly and apprentice Libby Hopwood. A farther two and three-quarter lengths away filling the minor placing was Testate $9 for Stuart Padman and Jason Lyon. Fresh from his listed Balaklava Cup success on Life To The Full Paul Gatt combined with trainer David Hayes in the four length win of Wookah $6 in the sixth race which was run over 1450 metres.
Not having raced since finishing third in the SA Sires Produce Stakes Wookah, an Encosta de Lago colt out of the Canny Lad mare High Heels, was well placed throughout the journey and beat the Leon Macdonald cared for Adrian Patterson mount Rebel Raider, the $3 punter's choice. The $4 chance Shadrach was another three-quarters of a length away third for Matthew Neilson and Phillip Stokes. Riding the Lloyd Kennewell prepared Keltah $12, the neck winner of the 1400 metre seventh race, gave Dominic Tournuer his second success of the day. The seven-year-old horse by Keltrice from the Swooping mare Tivoil Queen came from a rearward position and beat the Amy Herrmann ridden Dennis O'Leary cared for Magical Dane, the $4 favourite. Cosmic Commander $4.20 was another two and half-lengths away third for David Balfour and Adrian Patterson. The length win of the Phillip Stokes mentored Matthew Neilson ridden Bondarchuk $3.30 wrapped up a good day of racing in the final event of 1250 metres. A three-year-old Soviet Star colt from the Southern Halo mare South Carolina, Bondarchuk was among the leading division and beat the $2.20 favourite, the David Hayes mentored Paul Gatt ridden Infatuation. Ooleo $6 was another neck away filling the minor placing for Leon Macdonald and Chad Lever.
