Clare LindopClare Lindop continued her great run at Flemington in Cup Week by winning the Cadbury Roses Stakes at Listed level aboard unheralded South Australian filly Exalted Keetah today.

Coming from last 400m out, Exalted Keetah sprinted past the inside division in the straight 1200m race, to win by 2¼ lengths.

Second was Tigresque, showing the preferred racing style of Hold That Tiger progeny by also coming from last, this time passing the outside rail division of the field. Tigresque ran an 11.47 final sectional, marginally faster than the winner's 11.51.

Third was Yesterday ($4.60-$6.50-$5.50) a long head behind Tigresque. The favourite Olonana ($3.50-$4.00F) was fourth.

Exalted KeetahA trembling Ben Smith stood in for his father Jim, the trainer of Exalted Keetah, who was watching the race from his Adelaide base. The family decided to send the Blevic filly to contest today's stakes race after she showed excellent form at home.

"She was very unlucky at her last start because she had a bit of trouble in the barriers", Smith said.

Exalted Keetah"The horse next door was fiddling around a bit which upset her and she missed the start by 5 lengths."

"She's been placed in Listed company back home, so we thought we'd bring her over and give it a go and we've got the result."

Lindop continued a profitable association with both Jim Smith as trainer and Ken and Helen Smith, the breeders and owners of Exalted Keetah.

Return To Scale"We've been training for them now for 14 or 15 years", Ben Smith said.

"Clare won the Adelaide Cup in 2006 on Exalted Time for us."

After winning the Group 1 Victoria Derby on Rebel Raider last Saturday, Lindop was more than happy to add another stakes win to her collection.

"She's actually a very under rated filly", she said.

"I won the Adelaide Cup and that was my biggest win until the Derby."

"To win today I'm ecstatic because its been an unbelievable week for me."
