The breeding partnership of the stallion Noverre and the Gold Carat mare Piglet's Gold got racing off to a good start when their four year old daughter Live In Sin $4 was the one and a quarter length winner of the 1518 metre opening event at Morphettville on Saturday. Being under the care of Caulfield based trainer Peter Moody and having the services of jockey Aaron Spiteri Live In Sin led all the way and beat the Fred Meuring trained apprentice Claudia Lions mount Giggling Girl $13. Another long neck away third was Star Of The Stalls $5 for David Jolly and Ben Claridge. Starting the $1.90 favourite Silverciymiss won her second race in a row for mentor David Balfour and rider Claudia Lions in the 2025 metre second race. From the Sir Tristram mare Tabura and fathered by High Rolling, Silvercitymiss was in front for the entire journey and defeated the Darren Weir trained Jarrod Fry ridden Sooze $4-20. Another one and a half lengths away was Woodland Jack, also $4-20, for Richard Jolly and apprentice Libby Hopwood. Trainer Jon O'Connor and jockey Matthew Neilson joined forces in the three length victory of the $6 chance You Dee Cee in the third race which was contested over 1050 metres. Fathered by the American bred stallion More Than Ready out of Wishes, a Danehill mare, You Dee Cee was second when the field settled but took control of the event in the middle stages going on to beat Danseda $4.40 for trainer David Hayes and rider Paul Gatt. Starting at $6.50 Chunky Custard was another three quarters of a length away taking out the third prizemoney. After recording a win at Moonee Valley and then turning in a fifth at Flemington the three year old filly Europa Point won her second race from three race day appearances in race four which was run over 1200 metres. Prepared by visiting Melbourne trainer Lee Freedman and ridden by local hoop Chad Lever, Europa Point started the $3.50 second favourite. The daughter of the imported sire Rock Of Gibraltar out of Gambei, a Dehere mare, Europa Point found herself in third place when the starter released the field and went on to continue the trend of front runners to record a two length win over the` $3.20 public elect Furline for mentor Phillip Stokes and jockey Ben Claridge. Another Victorian trainer Ricky Maund combined with local rider Adrian Patterson when Corinella $13 was a farther two and a half lengths away third. Jockey Paul Gatt brought up a milestone when he rode his 1000th winner, the Ken Sweeney prepared Jeunealistic $26, to a half neck victory in the 1600 metre fifth event. The Jeune sired Jeunealistic, out of the Euclase mare Classy Looker, was in a forward position throughout and beat the David Hayes prepared apprentice Kate Dyson ridden Forays $6. Mark Kavanagh and Aaron Spiteri were associated with French Secret $16 who was a farther half neck away third. After riding his first city winner a few weeks ago apprentice Jarrod Fry returned to Morphettville to ride his first black type winner Keep Control for his master Darren Weir in the listed Hill Smith Stakes of 1800 metres. A $9 chance at barrier rise, from Out In Style a Brave Regent mare and sired by the United States bred stallion Denon, Keep Control was mid field in the middle stages before going on to record a length win over another Adelaide visitor, the Peter Moody cared for Aaron Spiteri ridden Tee Emar $3.60. The Lee Freedman cared for David Tootell ridden Well Rounded was another half length away completing the trifecta for the visitors. Mount Gambier trainer Lois Kettle joined forces with Kate Dyson in the two and three quarter length win of the Suresh gelding Sir Sienna in race seven which was contested over 1100 metres. Being out of Best Paint, a Best Western mare, Sir Sienna $41 was well placed and beat Monfils $16 for trainer John Hyam and rider Troy Baker. Starting at $16 Happy Ha Ha was another one and a quarter lengths away third for John Macmillan and Simon Price. Jockey Simon Price teamed with trainer Mark Kavanagh in the neck win of Our Saint $3.60 in the 1200 metre final event. Sired by Royal Academy from the Don't Say Halo mare Perfect Halo, Our Saint was mid field before going on to beat the Peter Moody cared for Aaron Spiteri mount Elumino, the $2.50 favourite. Phantom Flyer $4.80 was another two and quarter lengths away third for Darryl Dodson and Jarrod Fry.
