Morphettville Races Report
After training his first winner a few months ago trainer John Hyam prepared his first quinella when the Wayne Kerford ridden Believe In More $8 recorded a three quarters of a length win over his stablemate About Me in the opening event of 1200 metres at Morphettville on Saturday.

A More Than Ready gelding from the Jugah mare Brookes, Believe In More was mid field during the early part of the race before going on to beat the one time leader, the Troy Baker mount About Me $3.40.

A farther one and three quarter lengths away third was Hidden Surprise $4 for Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas and apprentice Tellie Neve.

Breaking the field up soon after the start and establishing a big lead the Bill Bogarts trained apprentice Claudia Lions ridden Kayeema Jay $15 came back to the field over the concluding stages and recorded a long neck win in the 1600 metre second race.

From The Blues Sister, a Blues Traveller mare, and sired by King Charlemagne Kayeema Jay beat the Greg Lesnikowski cared for David Tootell guided Tuscany View, the $3-10 public elect. Trainer David Balfour and hoop Damien Robinson were associated with Right Fong $5 who was another half neck away third.

Recording a winning margin of a short neck in the 2600 metre third race the Roslyn Day prepared Adrian Patterson guided four year old gelding Maestro Of Murano won his second race in seven days.

Sired by American bred Bianconi from Talent Lover, a Lucky Ring mare, Maestro Of Murano, the $1-90 favourite, was the all-the-way winner and beat the David Hayes cared for Ben Claridge mount You Beautiful Doll $6.50. Another David Hayes runner Jara $4.40 was one length away third with Ryan Plumb in the saddle.

Visiting Caulfield trainer Mick Price joined forces with rider Clare Lindop in the two and a quarter length win of Tango's Choice in race four which was run over 1100 metres.

A daughter of Redoute's Choice out of the Centaine mare La Rumba Tango's Choice was in a rearward position before getting the upper hand over her rivals in the straight and went on to beat the Stuart Gower trained Dominic Tourneur ridden Falvelon's Dream $5.50. Teivovo $8 was another length away third for Richard Jolly and his apprentice Libby Hopwood.

After having to be content with third placing in the previous race trainer Richard Jolly was all smiles after the Chad Lever mount Very Discreet was the three quarters of a length winner of the Listed 1200 metre Durbridge Stakes.

Starting the $3.20 public elect the Exceed an Excel sired Very Discreet, from the Euclase mare She's Discreet, was well placed and defeated the $13 chance Hidden Energy for mentor David Hayes jockey Paul Gatt. Another half head away third was Royal Ida $3.50 for Luke Oliver and Dominic Tourneur.

A winner of two listed races on the SA racing scene in a month Very Discreet will have her next start in the 1100 metre listed Crown Palladium Stakes at Flemington on Thursday November 5.

Trainer Mark Kavanagh and jockey Simon Price brought up the first leg of a race to race double when Navmann $7 was the head winner of race six which was contested over 1200 metres.

Internationally bred with the sire the American bred Orientate and the dam the Irish bred matron Honest Guest, who was fathered by the United States bred Be My Guest, Navmann was well positioned and went on to defeat the $5.50 chance Street Singer for horse carer Daniel Clarken and rider Matthew Neilson. Bramble Blitz $13 was a farther one and a quarter lengths away third for Anthony Bolden and Craig Robertson.

Mentor Mark Kavanagh and jockey Simon Price brought up their double when Catapulted, the $3. 80 favourite, was the length winner of the seventh race which was run over 1200 metres.

Being out of the Umatilla mare Siren Miss and sired by Catbird, Catapulted was an all the way winner and beat Gala Guzzler $5 for mentor David Hayes and jockey Paul Gatt. Bondarchuk $13 was another two lengths away filling the minor placing for Phillip Stokes and Ben Claridge.

The combination of trainer Lloyd Kennewell and rider Ryan Plumb were successful when Moggaden $4 was the half head winner of the final event of 2033 metres.

A Dubai gelding from the Prince Echo mare Ettu Blu, Moggaden was midfield before beating Calm Customer $6 for Mark Minervini and Adrian Patterson.

Validator $3-40 was a farther length away third for Michael Hibbs and Chad Lever.
