On a track which favoured on-pace runners jockeys Chad Lever, Troy Baker, and Simon Price each rode doubles and trainer David Jolly prepared a double at Strathalbyn on Wednesday. Goolwa based mentor David Jolly and jockey Chad Lever were the first to set the tone for the day in the doubles department when Bianium was the long neck winner of race two which was contested over 1200 metres. Having his fifth race day outing and recording his first win the Bianconi sired four year old gelding Bianium $5, from the King's High mare High Royale, led all the way and beat Zarbika $13 for the combination of trainer Barry Brook and jockey Simon Price. Pick The Face $9 was a father three and a quarter lengths away third for David Hayes and Ryan Plumb. Trainer David Jolly brought up his second win when the Dash For Cash three year old filly Tanqueray Lady was the one and a half length winner of the 1600 metre fourth race. From Vickers, a Flying Spur mare, and steered to victory by Dominic Tourneur the $3.30 public elect was in a forward position throughout and beat the Paul Beshara prepared Matthew Neilson ridden Silver Clip $7. Galway Flute $3.40 was a length and a quarter away third for John Macmillan and Chad Lever. Jockey Chad Lever had his second win of the day when he steered the $4.40 favourite Forgotten Dreams to a two and a half length win in race six which was run over 1100 metres. Being under the care of Macclesfield trainer Owen Taylor and sired by the United States bred stallion Al Khawaaneeg from the Handcrafted mare Handsign, Forgotten Dreams led all the way to establish the new track record of 1-05.55. The Stuart Dodd prepared Murray Henderson ridden Polynesian $61 two lengths away second while a farther short head away, filling the minor placing, was Stand In $6-50 for Karen Byrnes and Ben Claridge. Troy Baker scored the first leg of his double when Byron Cozamanis prepared Xenophon was the three length winner of the third event which was contested over the distance course of 2050 metres. Starting the $1.70 punter's choice and being the progeny of Show A Heart and the daughter of the Be My Guest mare Overdue Reaction, Xenophon was no farther back than third for the entire race before recording a win over the Heather and Kevin Frew prepared and their apprentice son Jordon Frew ridden Grinstone $4.40. The combination of Paul Seater and Simon Price supplied Cool Classic $6 who was two lengths away third. The John Hyam trained gelding, the $3.60 favourite All About Heart, gave the Lion Heart sired three year old gelding and his rider Troy Baker his second winner in the 1350 metre fifth race. From the Without Fear mare Out ‘n' About, All About Heart was third on settling before getting to the lead and going on to defeat the Ken Sweeney mentored and Matthew Neilson guided Perfect Crown $11. Another head away third was the $21 chance Dr Zip for John Hyam and Wayne Kerford. The Mark Kavanagh prepared Believe ‘N Achieve, the $2.20 favourite in 1350 metre seventh race, gave Simon Price the first leg of his double. Being from the Bahamian Bounty mare Mal de Mer and sired by the American bred Beautiful Crown, Believe ‘N Achieve kept the momentum of on pace runners going when the filly beat the Ken Sweeney trained apprentice Libby Hopwood ridden Visual Impact $14 by four and three quarter lengths. Six lengths away third was Bust the Bank $26 for Kym Healy and Justin Potter. A near all the way win of Alquamarne grave his rider Simon Price the second leg of his double in the last event which run over 1200 metres. Being under the care of Barry Brook the Alquoz sired Alquamarne $31 beat the Dion Koch trained Matthew Neilson guided Kuaka $12. Shiraki $4.40 was another half head away third. Punters got off to a good start when the Darren Magro trained Ben Claridge ridden Miss Tuscan, the $2.40 favourite, was the half length winner of the opening event which run over 1100 metres. From the Made Of Gold mare Nickita and fathered by Tuscanos Miss Tuscan beat the Daniel Clarken mentored Dominic Tourneur mount Trice As Good $4.20. Huntmaster $3.30 was three and a half lengths away filling the minor placing. Teaming with trainer Paul Beshara apprentice Libby Hopwood guided the $15 chance Kitty Up to a two length win in the 1600 metre eighth race. A product of Catbird and the Fuji Kiseki mare All Stitched Up, Kitty Up was one of the rare runners on the day to come from behind when the gelding defeated Cold Sober $7 for Brian Mueller and Justin Potter. A farther three and a quarter lengths away third was True Emotions, the $3-80 favourite, for Scott Trenowden and Simon Price.
