Fathered by Flying Spur the three year old filly Show Bling gave her jockey Simon Price his fifth winning ride since last Wednesday when she was the neck winner of the opening race at Morphettville on Tuesday. From the Zeditave mare Super Snooper and trained by Jon O'Connor Show Bling, the $1.80 favourite, settled second in the 1100 metre event before getting to the front and going on to beat Kissable $5 for horse carer Mark Kavanagh and Matthew Neilson. Swoopy Coupe $9 was another three lengths away filling the minor placing for Bill Bogarts and apprentice Libby Hopwod. The head win of the Hussonet mare Feel The Venom $7, from the Zabeel mare Matif, saw the four year old's mentor Lloyd Kennewell and jockey Ryan Plumb in the winner's enclosure after the 2036 metre second race. Feel The Venom settled second behind Zuman and held that position until well into the straight going on to defeat the Paul Seater prepared Simon Price ridden Cool Classic $3-90. The $3.20 chance Varsovia was a farther nose away third for Greg Lesnikowski and Paul Gatt. Jockey Simon Price brought up his second win when the $1.70 public elect French Secret was the three and a quarter length winner of the 1600 metre third race for the Mark Kavanagh stable. From the Machiavellian mare Anigma and sired by the American bred horse French Deputy, French Secret was in a rearward position early stages and showed dash over the final stages to beat the Ken Sweeney cared for Michael Carson mount Perfect Crown $13. David Hayes and Paul Gatt were associated with Devine Being $20 who was a farther three quarter of a length away third. The length win of the Devaraja sired Dejeune $8 saw the four year old mare's mentor Simon Casey and apprentice Kate Dyson in the winner's circle after the running of the 1800 metre fourth race. Being out of Esprit de Jeune, a Jeune mare, Dejeune was well placed and beat the David Hayes mentored Paul Gatt ridden Sea Coral $4.60. The $11 chance Storm Veil was another half neck away taking the third prizemoney for Lucy Tootell and Ryan Plumb. After winning the Melbourne Cup twenty minutes earlier with Shocking trainer Mark Kavanagh brought up his second winner at Morphettville when Mariliouse $5.50 was the three quarters of a lengths victor in the 1200 metre fifth race. The win brought up a treble for jockey Simon Price. A four year old Commands mare from the Marwina mare Martoula Marilouise was no farther back than fifth before going on the beat the David Jolly prepared apprentice Claudia Lions mount Kate Kelly $5. The combination of Fred Meuring and Matthew Neilson were associated with Mean Jean $9 who was another one and a half lengths away third. Mark Kavanagh brought up his third Adelaide success for the day when the Exceed And Excel gelding You're On $21, from the Elusive Quality mare Yoren, was the three quarters of a length winner of race six which was run over 1200 metres. Partnered by Ryan Plumb You're On came from well back and beat the John Hyam mentored Troy Baker mount Zip Royale $4. A half length away third was Irish Cheer $5 for Susan Nolan. After showing good form in her previous preparation Miss Imperial $9 gave her trainer Stuart Padman and apprentice Libby Hopwood a long neck win in the 1050 metre seventh event. From the Made Of Gold mare Dubloons and sired by Akhadan, Miss Imperial came from near the rear of the field and defeated the David Balfour trained Damien Robinson mount Taken The Road $11. A long head away third was the $2-80 punter's choice Shekinaar for David Jolly and Paul Gatt. Trainer Ken Sweeney and visiting Victorian horseman Michael Carson were well pleased with long neck winning performance of four year old mare Visual Impact $21 in race eight which was contested over 1200 metres. A product of the United States bred stallion Mull of Kintyre and the Euclase mare Classy Looker, Visual Impact was mid field for most of the race before going on to beat the John Hyam cared for Troy Baker ridden Monfils $4.80. Another one and a quarter lengths third was Road Warrior $4.20 for Jon O'Connor and Simon Price. Jockey Ben Claridge added another win to his list of city winners when he rode the Phillip Stokes trained Vintage Comedy $3.10 to a half neck victory in the final event of 1200 metres. Sired by Happy Giggle from the Punchline mare Distorted Humor Vintage Comedy was an all the way winner and beat Bunker Boy $6 for co-trainers Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas and rider Chad Lever. The Tim Snelling trained Simon Price mount Artechs the $2.70 public elect was another nose away third.
