Classy Galloper Unearthed Under Lights
Paganini's Soul maintained his unbeaten record and in the process gave the combination of Tony Noonan and Dean Yendall a double for the evening after impressively winning the $30,000 Teac Flashback LCD Plate (72) (1200m) for three-year-olds at Moonee Valley this evening.

Settling one off the rails in sixth position, Yendall rode a patient race aboard the son of Show A Heart to stalk the speed before hooking Paganini's Soul the widest on the home bend where he let down with a handy turn of foot.

Paganini's Soul ($7-$12) defeated Rachine ($7-$9) by one and a quarter lengths with Our Inheritance ($4.60-$5.50-$5) not too far away in third.

Dorsoduro ($12) worked home nicely from a worse then midfield position to finish fourth while favourite Doubtful Jack ($2.40fav) was far from disgraced in fifth, crossing the line less than two and a half lengths from the winner.

Noonan was full of praise for Yendall's ride post-race.

"Gem of a ride," Noonan said before adding "you don't often see a patient ride in a 1200m race."

"They got going early and he bided his time on her and had the last crack at them."

Noonan also hinted at the potential of Paganini's Soul, describing his future as "terribly good" believing he could run up to a mile.

"We've liked the horse all the way along and we haven't wound him up yet," Noonan added.

"He's still a little big in himself but he's a really genuine racehorse."

Yendall partnered Paganini's Soul last start on debut at Pakenham when it defeated Fast Ruler, a filly trained by Lee Freedman that was previously placed twice in Adelaide stakes company.

"He's still new to the caper but he'll come on leaps and bounds," Yendall said.

"It's just his attitude he's got a real good temperament and he's just a true racehorse.

"He's last run at Pakenham was pretty good, he put that Fast Talker away pretty comfortably that day.

"Today he travelled really good through the run but when he hit the front he got a bit wayward, under lights it was a different scenario but this horse is flying," Yendall added.

Not offered at the sales, Paganini's Soul is the only to come from the dam Magic Bow who only won race in New Zealand before being transferred to Australia were it failed to add to that tally.

Earlier in the evening Noonan and Yendall combined in the third event, the Pulse Pharmacy Handicap (1600m) with Belscenica ($13).
