The progeny of popular Danehill sire Commands are set to be sought after at next week's Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale after his treble in Sydney yesterday. Highlighted by the impressive win of rising three-year-old talent Commandare in the last of seven races, the Commands treble continued the sire's great run of success throughout 2009. Commandare, a graduate of both the 2008 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale and the National Horses in Training Sale, made it back to back Sydney wins with a two length romp in his 1100 metre event. The Danny Williams trained performer, who is from the Group One winning mare Wrap Around, is raced by well known Singapore businessman Jayven See and renowned Queensland studmaster Bob Wood and their wives. "He's a nice horse," Williams said of Commandare. "He's learning all the time and he's still got a bit of learning still to do." "But I think he's got a bright future," he added. Group One winning rider Tye Angland was also impressed and described Commandare as a "smart horse in the making." Also winning for Commands on yesterday's card was the Mark Schmetzer trained He's in Demand and Peter Snowden's three-year-old filly Demeanour. Commands has 20 yearlings catalogued for next week's Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale. His youngsters are made up of eight colts and 12 fillies. At the 2009 edition of the sale a colt by Commands sold for $600,000 - the highest price for a yearling ever by the sire. The 2010 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale kicks away with session one from 11am (Qld time) on Wednesday.
