The Patinack Farm training operation has taken another incredible turn with news Patrick Payne has been dumped as one of the company's major trainers.

Payne, who prepared Patinack's first feature race winner with Laura's Charm at Moonee Valley in February, was due to start debutant Decryption in tonight's opening race at the Valley.

The juvenile filly, by leading WA sire Bletchley Park, was a late scratching earlier this afternoon after Payne contacted officials.

"We were told the reason for the late scratching was Patrick Payne was no longer the trainer of the filly," chief steward Terry Bailey told The Virtual FormGuide tonight.

It is understood that Patinack Farm owner Nathan Tinkler has had a falling out with Payne and their training arrangement is over.

Payne was understood to have as many as 30 Patinack Farm owned horses "on his books".

The Patinack Farm operation recently closed their large training stables at the Gold Coast and the trainer in charge there Jamie Nielsen was sent to New South Wales.

The company, which now oversees the ownership of a number of properties and over 400 horses, has also recently split with inaugural managing director Roger Langley and stud manager Andrew Bowcock.

Tinkler, the biggest buyer at this year's Magic Millions and Karaka Yearling Sales, has Raheeb running in tomorrow's Group One Toorak Handicap.
